About us
cornelis wegman architects is a Hobart-based practice undertaking a full range of professional architectural services.
After 18 years as a director of a medium sized practice and being responsible for major projects, including tenancies within the AMP Building, fit-outs for other insurance companies, refurbishment of the ground and first floors of the existing HEC building for the Hobart City Council, and interiors, Cornelis (Kees) Wegman now works as an independent consultant architect. Since its establishment in 1998, cornelis wegman architects has completed several innovative and interesting retail, interior and space-planning commissions.
In addition to commercial work, the practice has been involved in many challenging residential alterations and additions, and the creation of new homes.
Making ideas real
Making ideas real is what we do. Clients often have great ideas but don’t always know how to make them happen. They want to improve a particular area in their home or commercial premises — but where to begin? Most have strict budgets and need help to make the money go further. This is what we enjoy — taking your ideas, requirements and budget, and shaping them into something exciting, vibrant, interesting and effective.
To help you visualise the final result, we use CAD (Computer Aided Design) to produce 3D images. Want perspectives, walk-throughs, photographic representation? Just ask. We can deliver.
Of course, we also prepare traditional printed drawings for councils and builders — we do want your ideas approved and built!
